Yesterday the kids had well-visits. The doctor said she needs to get
in to see the G.I. doctor because Aria's reflux is still really bad and
that it's still affecting her lungs and maybe another serious surgery is
necessary. We'll see that doctor on the 27th.
Today
the doctor saw the immunologist and with the treatments, her
immune system looks good but the blood-work that was done showed that
Aria was fighting another bacterial infection at the same time she was on antibiotics and
that she needed to see the pulmonologist. Well, that was the next
appointment. The doctor said that Aria has mycoplasma.
It's a very serious situation and she's on an extremely high dose of
antibiotics and then she'll be on a maintenance dose for quite a while.
She'll also be getting another bronchoscopy done in the next week so
they can run more tests.
Our daughter is seriously ill. Please pray for her.
UPDATE (3-13-13)
Aria went into the hospital today. She was not breathing well, even after a treatment. The doctor told Tina to take her to the ER & they gave her an hour long breathing treatment and admitted her into the hospital for tonight. Tina is spending the night with her there. Tomorrow they are going to do the bronchoscopy and they are running tests on her blood. We'll see what happens.
UPDATE (3-27-13)
Aria went to the gastro doctor today. They are going to schedule a 24hr pH Impedance Probe and depending on the results, Aria will probably be having a Fundoplication Surgery in the near future.
